Aegis with BRIGHT® Software
BReast Imaging and Guidance Help Tool (BRIGHT) is a dedicated software system developed by Sentinelle Medical® for radiologists to analyze breast MR images and guide interventional procedures. Built on Aegis, Sentinelle’s advanced 3D framework, and ClearCanvas (www.clearcanvas.ca), BRIGHT is easy to use with an intuitive interface designed to simplify biopsy and localization procedures. With immediate and direct access to MR images from the scanner, targeting information is computed efficiently, easily, and accurately. Sentinelle Medical is the only company to develop both hardware and software solutions for breast MR imaging and interventions.
Accurate Registration
To take advantage of Sentinelle Medical’s Vanguard® System’s ability to detect very small lesions, BRIGHT provides a flexible and accurate registration mechanism. Using this efficient and robust technique, radiologists can be confident in the accuracy of the targeting information. BRIGHT provides support for various grid geometries and needle types, including vacuum needles and wire localizations. |

Easy Targeting
Once the image has been registered, simply click on a target lesion and BRIGHT will automatically calculate all of the targeting information. Through the linked 3D cursor, targets can be identified precisely and confirmed in different orientations. BRIGHT also allows multiple targets to be defined simultaneously, and provides targeting information for both lateral and medial approaches. |

Powerful Analysis
Through the Aegis framework, BRIGHT also provides tools for image analysis and display. With BRIGHT, radiologists can view subtracted images and contrast uptake curves, make measurements, specify ROIs, place targets, and save all the accumulated work. BRIGHT is also the only dedicated breast imaging system to provide true, exclusive three-dimensional image processing, allowing instant, on-the-fly MPR (multiplanar reformatting) and real-time viewing of MIP and surface volumes, in any orientation. Plus, any data set may be viewed as a 3D volume, including subtracted, dynamic, and contrast images. |
